Charlene no one can replace the love that you have as a mother to Eli, but I felt that I was his second mom. Eli would always come into the house and would call me mom. Whenever, he left he would always give me that special hug while rubbing me on my back which I will forever miss! It was just a couple weeks ago when he was helping Brooke move into her apartment in Atlanta that we were able to spend an entire day together. Last year we went to Panama City just you, Brooke, and me and we had such a great time. You were always there for Brooke, you always showed compassion towards everyone. That was your special persona, a giver always. You sacrificed your time and your feelings and was great healer. God stole you from us in the middle of the night, but he always has a purpose. I believe lessons are learned by everyone in the absence of your death, no matter how harsh it may seem to us all. Just writing to you now starts the healing process, because I believe you can hear the words I write to you. They have meaning and conviction. You and your family will always be in my thoughts forever. My heart is so empty as I finish telling everyone how much I will miss you. But I will always be talking to you daily throughout the rest of my life periodically and always remembering the light you have shown on me and my family. Love always your second mom. I too lost a son Charlene.

Eli, I will forever miss you. I have not stopped crying and grieving for you since the fateful night I heard the tragic news of your passing. You were a rock for my Brooke and for that I will always love you. You were our Raccoon ornament on our Christmas Tree and we shared so many great moments and times together, also with your brother Cameron. I will have a void in my life without you to remind me to laugh and act silly once in awhile. You were that shining star and I'm so glad we shared a concert with you, Terri, Brooke, You and myself sang Eli's Coming by the Three Dog Night. And I'm so happy that you and Brooke went to New York and New Orleans. I suppose I could go on forever, but I will close with that we learn from others in their passing how important life really is. How we should always treat our loved on a daily basis as if that will be the last time you see them. I know I have been humbled by your passing. Love You Eli always and forever!
