Welcome to the memorial page for

Elijah Kencade Parker

November 20, 1991 ~ October 21, 2016 (age 24) 24 Years Old

Elijah Kencade Parker was born on November 20, 1991 to Mark and Charline Parker. From the moment he arrived, he made such an impact on our lives. He was such a momma’s boy. He had a thirst for knowledge and a wisdom beyond his years. He was gifted and advanced very quickly in school. It would be nice to say that he was an excellent student. His teachers would agree, but the principals would beg to differ. He always had his own way of achieving and learning that did not meet the norm. He was hard-wired to go against the grain; around, rather than through a problem. He was a deep thinker, and he felt everything just as intensely.

He gave his all to his family and friends, always thinking of himself last. A free spirit of bohemian sensibilities, he made beautiful art wherever he went. He always found a way to get where he wanted, with or without money or provisions. An adventurous spirit he was in every aspect. He was a confidant, a mentor, a nurturer and care giver, a father to his brother Cameron, as well as a friend. The love Eli and Cameron have for one another surpasses time, space, and the death of the human form. After their father passed, Eli became a father figure to Cameron. He taught him how to drive and how to make good judgement on life decisions and people. One example of this was when he spent an hour buying Cameron clothes and styling his hair; preparing him for his first job interview. Because mom was working, he sent a picture so she could take part in this milestone. The bond between mother and son cannot be expressed in words. He was a my everything, holding my hand, lending a shoulder to cry on, pushing me to take care of myself. As for his commitments, Eli made the commitment to his grandfather, Claude Parker upon his death in 2012 to take care of his grandmother, Dot Parker. Eli honored that commitment to the fullest extent with love, patience, and grace. Dot relied heavily on him and loved him beyond measure. Words cannot express the magnificent person he was to his family and friends. Eli is in the hearts of all who loved him and the memories shared have meant the world to us.

Eli Parker was preceded in death by his father, Mark Parker, his grandfathers Claude J Parker and Charles Simmons, and his cousin Dina Beesley. Family who will forever mourn the loss of such a beautiful soul include mother, Charline Parker (Louis Bregartner II); brother, Cameron Parker; Grandmothers, Dot Parker and Linda Simmons; Uncle, Scott Parker (Tracey Parker); Aunt, Diane Beesley (Rick Beesley); Aunt, Amanda Rogers; Uncle, Jeremy Simmons; Cousins, Sarah Bryan, Jessica Thedford, Nicole Parker, Austin Parker, and Justin Satterfield to name a few. He had many more family members too numerous to name here, but very loved. And lastly, he leaves behind all of the many friends who will cherish the memories they have had with our beautiful soul, Eli Parker.
