Dr. Burgan was my former professor at Troy University. I learned a lot about how to relate to our clients and to be a true counselor. Dr. Burgan always knew what to say with all smiles; no matter the situation. He was always positive and knew how to left everyone spirits. Our world need more people like Dr. Burgan cause he is the definition of a God fearing man. I Love you Dr. Burgan and you will truly be missed!

My heartfelt condolences to the family and my gratitude to a man who gave to his community a commitment and time. May all of you find peace. A word from the Bible you might find comforting is 2 Cor 1:3.4 "Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials" A very comforting thought is found at the web site: JW.ORG

My dad
The one who truly understood me.
The one who stuck up for me even when he thought I was wrong.
The one who guided and shaped my life.
The one I went to when I need someone to just listen.
The one who taught me peace from within.
The one I always wanted to impress.
The one who held our family together.
My biggest fan and my confident.
The one I grew up to be like.
He tried to live every moment to the fullest.
He was the fun and loving PaPa to my kids.
The papa my kids will always remember and hear stories of.
We are happy your pain is gone and you can finally be at peace
We feel your love and legacy shining down on us and making us strong within.
The one and only my dad.

My deepest sympathy to his family. I know speaking for many of the students of Troy that had the pleasure of learning invaluable lessons taught by him, will be deeply missed. An inspiration to everyone, and had such a unique way of teaching. I hope we can one day pass on, not just what we have had the pri leave of learning, but the passion and compassion of helping and caring. Rest In Peace, you will be missed deeply.
