William "Gene" Eugene Emory

William Eugene Emory, 65, of Smiths Station, Alabama passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Piedmont Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia. A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM ET at Colonial Funeral Home in Phenix City, Alabama.

Mr. Emory was born February 29, 1956 in Columbus, Georgia to William and Joanne Butts. He served as member of the United States Navy and worked as a painter at Paul Davis Painting. Mr. Emory loved spending time with his grandkids, listening to music and watching HGTV.

Surviving are his daughter, Tiffany Emory (Isaac Barr); son, Seth Emory (Erika); three brothers, Danny Ray Mitchell, Kenny Mitchell and Johnny Mitchell; two sisters, Kay Rowe and Gayla Douglas; eight grandchildren, Caleb Emory, Austin Emory, Jaylen Emory, Isaiah Barr, Kenna Emory, Cameron Emory, Jordan Emory, and Kyleigh Emory; friend and mother of his children, Tammy Fleming.
