William Clinton Taylor, Jr. known by his family as "Willie", age 68, passed away Friday, June 23, 2023 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 2:00 pm est at Ladonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 pm est at Colonial Funeral Home.
Willie was born December 8, 1954 to the late William Clinton and Mary Emma Taylor. He retired as an owner of several Mr. Transmission franchises and other transmission repair shops. In his leisure time Willie enjoyed riding motorcycles, racing dirt bikes, cooking, being outdoors, especially hunting, and writing poetry. He will be remembered for being a woodsman, his incredible sense of humor, and taking care of his family. He often stated that his mother taught him at a young age " how to cook, sew, and clean". In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Patricia Diane Clemons and Carol Lee, a nephew, Bobby Clemons.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Moore Taylor, daughter; Katie Guinn, nephews; Ronnie G. Lee, Jr., William "Billy" S. Lee, and Donnie Plotner; great nieces and nephews.
