William A Roberts, Jr.

William A. "Bill" Roberts, Jr., 87, of Smiths Station, Alabama passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020 at his home.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 15, 2020 beginning at 2:00 PM est at Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor David Dollar officiating, The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. A private interment will follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.

Mr. Roberts was born July 16, 1932 in Wilmington, Delaware to the late Lucy Amatuzio Roberts and William A. Roberts, Sr. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict, retired from insurance sales, and was an active member of Fellowship Baptist Church. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, watching television, and Alabama football. Other than his parents, Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his sister, Alethea Mischier.

Surviving are his wife of almost 50 years, Jennie Ruth Roberts, a son, William A. Roberts III and wife, Sharon, a daughter, Deborah Farra, 2 step sons, Bobby Parke and Gary Parke and wife Kathy, 2 grandsons, William A. Roberts, IV and wife, Christiana, and Troy Roberts, 6 great grandchildren, William A. Roberts, V, Libby Roberts, Liam Roberts, Nicole Scott and husband Michael, Ashley Lugullo, and Regina Roberts, a great great grandson, Ethan Scott, several Nieces and Nephews.

The family would like to express a special thank you for the kindness shown to them from AL/GA Hospice during a difficult time.
