Wayne Morton

Wayne Morton, 72, of Box Springs, Georgia died Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at home. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Thomaston Family Cemetery located on George Cannon Road Box Springs, Georgia. 

Mr. Morton was born February 11, 1948 in Columbus, Georgia to the late, Clyde and Lola Morton.  Mr. Morton retired from Boiler Makers as a welder.  A Baptist by faith.  Mr. Morton enjoyed being outside with his chickens, horses and two pet dogs. 

Mr. Morton is survived by his wife, Mary Morton of Box Springs, Georgia.  One son, Robert (Lee) Morton (Jennifer) of Mauk, Georgia.  One Daughter, Monica Turner (Marcus) of Box Springs, Georgia.  One Step-Daughter, Tammy Isom (Jason) of Box Springs, Georgia.  Two Sisters, Elsie Haden (Bobby) of Phenix City, Alabama and Sharon Vanlandingham (Bob) of Port Richey, Florida.  Six Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren.  Predeceased in death by his son, John Wayne Morton II and brother, Charles Halsey.
