Wanda Jean Murphy

Wanda Jean Murphy, 80, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Georgia. Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 1:00 PM EST at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Pastor Mark Tharp officiating.

Mrs. Murphy was born December 4, 1942 to the late, Murphy Wade O'Hearn and Addie Estelle O'Hearn in Columbus, Georgia. She enjoyed being outside, especially tending to flowers. Mrs. Murphy loved her husband, children, and family more than anything. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Randy Murphy; one great-grandson; and one sister, Gail O'Hearn.

Surviving are her loving husband, Herman "Morris" Murphy; son, Steve Murphy; five grandchildren, Jennifer Murphy, Misti Murphy, Randy Murphy, Justin Murphy, and Stephanie Murphy; fifteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; four siblings, Helen Estelle McCullough, Dorothy Ann Ferrell, Angela J. Mitchell, and Billy Wade O'Hearn; several nieces and nephews.
