Virginia Murphy Obituary

Virginia Lee Murphy, 90, of Columbus, Georgia was born October 5, 1930, in Lagrange, Georgia and passed away January 3, 2021 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown Hospital.

Survivors include one sister; Mayola Lewis of Pace, Florida, two daughters; Connie Rupe of Columbus, Georgia and Vickie Thomas (Dale) of Alton, Missouri, one granddaughter; Jennifer Rupe of Fredricksburg, Virginia, and one niece; Cindy Heck (David) of Pace, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her mother; Era Byrd Fowler, and her brother; Boyce Byrd.

Virginia was employed as a paralegal at the Law-Firm of Thompson and Jones, in Columbus, Georgia, where she worked for approximately 50 years.
