It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Vickie Landrea Bentley, who passed away peacefully in her home (Smith Station, AL) on April 3rd, 2025, at the age of 70.
Vickie was a beloved, cherished, and heavily adored mother, sister, niece, grandmother, recently new great grandmother, friend and so much more. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Priestly, sister, Tina Lewis, and brother, Darrell Landreau, and granny, Mary Lou Preston. She is survived by her daughter, Tina Tillery, brother, Terry Landreau, granddaughter, Shelbi Ballew Lee (Bryan Lee), great grandson, Sheppard Lee, and aunt, Rachell Landreau.
She loved the Alabama Crimson Tide, dogs, her family and friends, and a cold Miller Lite in a foam cup over ice. She attended Jordan High School of Columbus, GA and retired from the State of Georgia (juvenile center). After retirement, she spent her time watching ID channel, socializing with friends and spending time with her precious dog Cooper.
To know her was to love her, and oh was she loved. We will greatly miss her, her short temper, witty humor and her even bigger heart.
She will be honored at a memorial service on April 9th at 11am EST at Colonial Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL. In honor of her love for the color red and Alabama football, we ask that you wear red to her service. The family will visit with friends and family after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Russell County Humane Society and PAWS Humane Society; please consider donating in honor of Vickie’s love for dogs.
