Tammy “TA TA” Satterwhite, a beacon of love and joy, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025, in her hometown of Columbus, Georgia, at the age of 58. Born on August 5, 1967, in the very same city, she spent her life nurturing the community and spreading warmth to all those she encountered.
Tammy’s life was a living testament to the power of love and family. She is survived by her devoted spouse Jimmy Satterwhite, and cherished daughters Meridith Ray (TJ), Christina Crunk (James), as well as Godson Zachery McHone (Lexi). Her legacy of love continues through her three adoring siblings, Sondra McHone, James "JD" Maynor, and James "Budro" Watson, as well as her respected and dear mother-in-law, Doris Satterwhite (E.G.). She will also be fondly remembered by her dear sister-in-law Shelia Alexander (Larry) and her nieces and nephews Shannon, Erica, and Charlie as well as several others.
Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, JD Maynor and Thelma Stevens. She is also preceded by her dear son "Bubba" Satterwhite.
Tammy's life was a tapestry of caring and commitment to her loved ones. She was an amazing individual whose presence was a source of comfort and happiness. Her home was always open, her heart always ready to give. As a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt, she created countless cherished memories that her family will hold dear forever.
A service will be held in Tammy's honor at a later date.
Tammy's story does not end with her passing, for she lives on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
