Shirley Lucille Hagler

Shirley Lucille Hagler, 74, of Opelika, Alabama passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024 at her home. Memorial services will be Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 2:00 PM ET at Colonial Funeral Home in Phenix City, Alabama with Pastor Matt Hawkins officiating. The family will receive friends after the memorial service for visitation.

Mrs. Hagler was born December 4, 1949 to the late, Robert Lippert and Eunice Irene Vesper in Durango, Colorado. She was a Christian by faith and worked as a forestry secretary for many years. Mrs. Hagler enjoyed crafting, sewing, making soaps, lotions, and baking. She loved her ponies, her family, and the outdoors, especially the mountains. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Steve Allen Hagler.

Surviving are her daughter, Dana Spurlin; son, Justin Hagler; sister, Bobbie Lora; mother-in-law, Maudie Hagler; many nieces and nephews.
