Serrena Annette Biggs, known lovingly to family and friends as Serrena, passed away on April 19, 2026, in Columbus, Georgia, at the age of 56. Born on February 27, 1970, in Savannah, Georgia, she lived a life marked by devotion, kindness, and steadfast faith, and she will be remembered with deep love by all who knew her.
Serrena was a 1989 graduate of Chavala High School and later a devoted homemaker whose life centered on caring for her family and creating a warm and welcoming home. She was married to her husband, Felton Biggs, for 33 years, and their love story began in middle school, growing into a lifelong bond built on friendship, commitment, and enduring devotion. Together, they shared a beautiful life and a family that was the joy of her heart. She was a loving mother to Ellis Biggs and his wife, Emily, Autumn Patterson and her husband Ken Patterson. She also cherished her grandchildren, Felton Eli Biggs and Eisley Grae Biggs, who brought her great happiness and pride. Her love extended to her sister, Susan Long, her brother, Thurston Long and his wife, Linda, her nieces and nephews, and all of the family members who were blessed by her steady presence and gentle spirit. She was preceded in death by her sister, Deanie Dansby, and by her parents, Huey Paul Long and Syble Beatrice Long.
Serrena was a faithful Christian whose life reflected the values she held dear. She was a devoted member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, where she was considered a pillar of the congregation. Her presence was felt in many acts of service, including her work in the nursery and fellowship hall, where she cared for others with patience, warmth, and grace. She was known for helping wherever she was needed, and she gave of herself freely and without hesitation. Her church family will remember her as a woman whose faith was not only spoken but lived through her actions each day.
Those who knew Serrena will remember her as loving, kind, and faith-filled. She had a gentle way of making others feel welcome and cared for, and her compassion touched many lives. Her home was a place of comfort and nourishment, and she took great pride in the simple joys of family life. She enjoyed ceramics and upholstery, and she found happiness in cooking for the people she loved. Her famous chicken salad became a treasured favorite among family and friends, and it was one of the many ways she expressed her love. Above all, she treasured her children and grandchildren, and they were the center of her world.
Serrena’s life was a testament to quiet strength, faithful service, and unconditional love. She gave generously of her time, her talents, and her heart, and she leaves behind a legacy that will continue to live on in the lives of those she nurtured and supported. Her family and friends will forever hold close the memory of her smile, her kindness, and the comfort of her presence.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be remembered with gratitude and reverence. Serrena Annette Biggs will be deeply missed, but the example she set through her faith, her love for her family, and her dedication to serving others will remain an enduring blessing to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
