Roy Gerald Dukes

Roy Gerald Dukes, 76 of Mauk, Georgia passed away March 29, 2021 at Piedmont Medical Center in Columbus, GA.

Graveside Services will be held Friday, April 2, 2021 at 2:00pm ET at Oakland Church of God Cemetery in Marion County, Georgia with Rev. Mike Toomey officiating. The family will receive friends from 12-2pm at Oakland Church of God. Pallbearers will be Richard Dukes, Timothy Dukes, Tim Bramblett, Daniel Jones, Bryan Woods and Jacob Woods..

Mr. Dukes was born January 9, 1945 in Columbus, GA son of J.D. Dukes, Sr., and Ola Mae Bullock Dukes.

Roy worked for 33 years at TYCO as senior maintenance. He attended Oakland Church of God, enjoyed gardening, fishing, flowers, carpentry, and spending times with the grandkids.

Mr. Dukes is survived by his wife Lynda Robinson Dukes; two daughters Sherry Dukes (Tim) of Cumming, GA and Dawn Cannon (C.L.) of Mauk, GA; three sons Richard Dukes (Kathryn) of Atlanta, GA, Derek Dukes of Mauk, GA and Timothy Dukes (Jillian) of Mauk, GA; two sisters, Dorothy Smith of Columbus, GA and Jean Smith of Columbus, GA., nieces and nephews, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents, a daughter Debra Dukes, step-daughter Gina Golden and a brother J.D. Dukes, Jr.
