Rose, daughter of Fred and Frances Ward, was a very proud Auburn University graduate (a BA in Art) that began her long creative life and pursuit of learning and teaching.
Prior to beginning her years of teaching art at Brookstone School, she had a career handling Sales & Marketing at her father’s company Fred Ward Promotions, a professional wrestling business located at the Columbus Sports Arena on Front Avenue.
She was a faithful Christian and lead her “Joy Sunshine” Sunday School class for more than 40 years. Attending her grandchildren’s interests in dance, music and sports were one of her greatest joys in life. She is survived by her loyal, loving husband, Leon Ogle, Sr., who was a very special piece of her life, along with her three children, Amaree Sebastian (John), Leon “Bubba” Ogle (Susan), and Trudy Underwood (Jeffrey), and six grandchildren, Iain Sebastian, Rachel Sebastian, Jana Underwood, Joy Moore (Chase), Jewel Underwood, and Savannah Ogle, and the many other beloved family members.
To know Rose was to love her. Her enthusiastic personality and compassionate warm hugs will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
