Ronald "Ronnie" Terry Bolin, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on February 10, 2025 in Columbus, Georgia at the age of 73. Born on November 25, 1951, in Hartford, AL, Ronnie was a man of integrity, warmth, exceptional talent, and whose presence enriched the lives of all who knew him.
Ronnie's early years in Hartford laid a strong foundation for a life characterized by hard work and dedication. He carried these values into his professional life as a skilled pipefitter, a trade at which he excelled and formed many lasting friendships. He will be remembered not only for his expertise, but also for his willingness to lend a helping hand and share some great laughs.
Beyond his professional achievements, Ronnie was a man of many passions. As an excellent painter, he had a keen eye for detail and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world around him. His love for the outdoors was evident in his enthusiasm for fishing and hunting, activities that brought him peace and joy throughout his life. Ronnie was also a devoted fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide, following their games with fervent support and a sense of camaraderie with fellow fans of all teams.
Family was the cornerstone of Ronnie's life. He is survived by his loving daughter, Stephanie Dawn Bolin Hoover, and his son, Terry Curtis Kirkland, both who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and strength, his grandson, Danny Jury, who will miss his grandfather's guidance, his brothers Wendell W. Bolin (the late Helen), Roger L. Bolin (Rhonda), Joseph B. Bolin, sister-in-law Gwen Bolin (the late Marsh), and sister Jan Day (Ned), all of whom will fondly remember the bonds they shared, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his father Greene B. Bolin, his mother Ruby V. Bolin, and his siblings Jerry Bolin, Marsh Bolin, Lavonn Sparks (Phillip) and Linda Ann Bolin, and now rejoins them all in eternal rest.
Leaving behind a legacy of love and memories that will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him, a memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 2:00 pm ET at Colonial Funeral Home in Phenix City, Alabama with his brother Roger Bolin officiating the service.
