Roger Dale Tanton, Sr.

Roger Dale Tanton, Sr., 62, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. A viewing will be held Friday, March 15, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM ET at Colonial Funeral Home in Phenix City, Alabama.

Mr. Tanton was born September 20, 1961 , son of Jeanie Mae Clourtre in Columbus, Georgia. He worked many years as a truck driver and enjoyed riding motorcycles.

Surviving are his children, Kasey Tanton, Roger Tanton, Jr., Timothy Curdt, and Samuel Curdt; siblings, Joel Ray Shumate, Jr., Louis Eugene Shumate, and Brian Shumate;  grandchildren, Nevaeh Robertson, Nelly Robertson, Nathaniel Dale Brown, Alice Mae Adams, Savannah Curdt, and Riley Curdt.
