Robert C. Rogers

Robert C. Rogers, 90, of Opelika, AL passed away on April 23, 2021 in Opelika, Alabama.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 29th, 2021 at 11:00 AM  ET at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm ET at Colonial Funeral Home.

Robert was born on April 11, 1931 to Rembert Clyde and Beulah Cline Rogers in Kannapolis, North Carolina.  

Robert retired from GATX after 38 years as field foreman, after retirement Robert was never the one to sit still, so he started a new career in trucking. He had a passion for woodworking making chest, jewelry boxes, yard art, stools, tables and many other pieces. He was a member of a Local  Masonic Lodge.

He is preceded in death by his spouse Rebecca Jane Easter Rogers.

He is survived by three children, Cynthia "Cindy" Andreadis (Gus) , Ken Rogers (Deanna), and Robert D. Evers; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
