Robert Edward Brown

Robert Edward Brown, Sr., 66, passed away June 15, 2025, at Tranquility Hospice in Marietta, Georgia after a lengthy struggle the Alzheimer’s. A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 3:00 pm at the Five Points Baptist Church Cemetery in Mauk, Georgia.

Robert was born in Columbus, Georgia on April 4, 1959, to the late Joseph Daniel Brown Sr, and Margaret Mckinney Brown. Robert was preceded in death by his daughter Augustine Brown and his sisters, Hazel Brown Dixon and Lisa Brown Gibson. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Brown, his son, Robert Edward Brown Jr., and grandchildren, Juliette and Ethan George, and Aislin Brown, brother, Joe Brown and wife Annette, aunt, Joyce Brown, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A proud graduate of Jordan High School's class of 1977. Robert retired from Columbus Consolidated Government with 29+ years of service. Robert also served as a volunteer firefighter for Marion County Fire Department. Beyond his family and work, Robert was a proud resident of Mauk, Georgia.
