Rita Maria (Muller) Haywood

Rita Maria Haywood, 84, of Smiths Station, Alabama, passed away Friday, July 7th, 2023 at her home.

Burial arrangements next to her husband at Main Post Cemetery, Fort Moore, Georgia are being planned,

Rita was born November 1st, 1938, in Kirchenarnbach, Germany to the late Alfons and Pauline Nikola Muller. She enjoyed cooking, drinking coffee, beach trips, and spending time with her children and grandkids. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie Wade Haywood; 2 sons, Bob and Charles Haywood; and 7 siblings.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Wastion and Cory Haywood; 8 grandchildren; Shaun Haywood (Bobbi Jo), Sammy Wastion, Eric Haywood (Josh), Drew Haywood (Hannah), Corley Sibold (Andrew), Clayton Haywood (Morgan), Ali Causey (Robert) and Lexi Tulley (Damien); great grandchildren; Tinley Haywood and Lila Ryan, and, a sister, Hedy Rodel.
