Rene Javier Torres, Jr.

Rene "Bubba" Javier Torres, Jr., age 36, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Piedmont Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia.

Funeral arrangements will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023, beginning at 2:00 PM at Village Church 1608 14th Court Phenix City, Alabama 36867.

He was born December 3, 1986, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late Maria Griselda Davila. Bubba loved his job of cooking, having cooked in many popular restaurants in uptown Columbus. In his leisure time he could be found spending time with his kids, going to grandmas on Sundays, and watching Alabama football. He is remembered for being funny and always smiling.

Surviving are his children; Miguel Torres, Elijah Torres, Jamya Torres, Mercedes Meadows, Dorinda Jenkins, Steven Jenkins, Jr., Braylin Tibbs, Danaja Freeman, Isaiah Mitchell, and Tristyn Nevels; sisters, Mary Ann Flores and Ruby Curlee; brother, Marcos Flores; fiancé, Shayla McGowan; Dad, Stuart Parker; Nieces; Kayla Frye and Avery Frye; and a nephew, Jakari Flores.
