Renard D. Price, a cherished father, grandfather, son, partner, and friend, passed away on July 24, 2024, in Phenix City, Alabama, at the age of 48. Born on August 12, 1975, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Renard's early years in New Orleans were filled with the rich culture and spirited life of the city, traits that he carried with him throughout his life.
Renard's vibrant spirit left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him.
A devoted father, Renard's pride and joy were his daughter, Renyisha M. Dagnes, and his adored grandchild, Ry_lei Aiko Dagnes. His love for them knew no bounds, and he cherished every moment spent in their company. Renard's legacy of kindness, resilience, and love for his family will live on through them.
Renard is lovingly remembered by his parents, Ronald Price and his wife Anitha W. Price and Sylvia Ann Nelson, as well as his godfather Jason Banks and godmother Debra Odoms. Each of them played a significant role in shaping the man he became, and their guidance and support were a constant throughout his life.
His life was further enriched by his loving girlfriend, Katrena Wilson. Together, they shared a bond that was built on mutual respect, laughter, and countless shared memories.
Also mourning Renard are his aunt, Bridget D. Nelson-Wilson; his godsister, Keywana LaFrance; his uncle, James Alfred Nelson Jr., step-sister Kimberly U. Conerly and a host of cousins who will miss his presence at family gatherings, his storytelling, and his ability to light up a room.
Renard is preceded in death by his grandson Tyrone Bovia Jr.
As we say goodbye to Renard, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep commitment to family. His spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, and his memory will be treasured in our hearts forever.
A service to honor the life and legacy of Renard D. Price will be held August 2, 2024 at Heart 2 Heart Family worship center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Time to be announced.
