Rebecca Brown Aldrich 74 of Phenix City, Alabama passed away peacefully in her sleep, March 29, 2020 at Parkwood Nursing Home.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
She is survived by her children, Raymond Scott Smith of Phenix City, AL. and J. David Aldrich and wife Marla of Pelham, AL. Siblings Buzz Brown and wife Kathy of Columbus, GA. Glenda Golden and husband Jerry of Leesburg, GA, Gene Flournoy and wife Judy of Salem, AL, Tom Flournoy and wife Wanda of Elmore County, AL and Randy Flournoy and wife Kim of Salem, AL. Four grandchildren, Kaleb Smith, Shelby Smith, David Duncan Aldrich, and Ella Ryan Aldrich and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family. Ms. Aldrich was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Thomas Aldrich, her father Harold Hall Brown and mother Ethel Brown and Martha Flournoy Brown.
She was a lover of all animals and she loved "piddling" in her yard and fish pond. She retired after 30 years of service from the State of Alabama. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your local Humane Society. A special thank you to her cousin Sandra Ann Potts and neighbor Jan Pickren for all their help the past several years.
