Patricia J. O'Neall

Patricia Jane O’Neall, 93 of Hatchechubbee, AL passed away November 30, 2020 at her home.

Funeral services will be held December 10, 2020 at Hatchechubbee Baptist Church at 3:00pm ET with Rev. Jim Gilboy officiating according to Colonial Funeral Home, 613 14th Street, Phenix City, Alabama.

Mrs. O’Neall was born August 18, 1927 to Viola and Rollo Tanner in Saskatchewan, Canada.  She was born a twin but the twin died at birth.  She was the widow of John S. O’Neall.

She attended Hatchechubbee Baptist Church, was well known in Hatchechubbee and the community. Mrs. O’ Neall was an avid fisherman through out the Midwest and her local lakes. She and her husband had two world champion bird dogs and was the first female field trialer in Field Trials Association of America. She graduated from high school in Owatonna, Minnesota, received a Bachelor of Arts from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa 1945-1949 and completed graduate work at Management Training Program, Radcliff College, Cambridge, Massachusetts, 1949-1950. Her business experience consisted of being a Machinist at Minnesota Filler, MN; store clerk @ Hamilton Stores, Yellowstone National Park, Councillor at the Annex of Freshmen Women, Coe College, Councillor for the Camp Fire Girls, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a clerk at J.C. Penney Stores, a waitress at Maidrette Shops in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Acturial Department at New England Mutual Insurance Company, Boston, MA, Quality Control and Production Scheduling at Champion Lamp Company, Lynn, MA; sales clerk and bookkeeper at Owantonna Hatchery in Owatonna, MN,  and also worked at Fairchild Engine & Airplane Corporation in Oak Ridge, TN and Atlas Engineering Corporation, Oak Ridge, TN.
