Nuna Mae Anthony

Nuna Mae Anthony, 96, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Lafayette Extended Care in Lafayette, Alabama. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 2:00 PM EST at Colonial Funeral Home in Phenix City, Alabama with Rev. Don Abrams officiating.

Mrs. Anthony was born January 29, 1927 to the late, James Stafford Burks and Lottie Lou Newsom in Griffin, Georgia. She taught pre-school for 25 years before retiring. Mrs. Anthony was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Faithful Workers Sunday School Class. She is preceded in death by husband, Lambert Anthony; her son, David Lambert Anthony; brother, Buddy Burks; and sister, Kathleen Burks Bulson. 

Surviving is her nieces, Janice Carr (John) and Jean Companio (Ron); nephew, Donald Bulson (Carol); as dear as a son, Kaleb Allen; precious friend, June Allen; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
