Myrtice Jeweldean Davis (Layfield), 86, of Columbus, Georgia passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at Magnolia Manor in Buena Vista, Georgia. Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 1:00 PM ET at Lakeview Memory Gardens in Phenix City, Alabama with Chaplain Donald McKelvey officiating.

Mrs. Davis was born April 3, 1934 to Punk McDaniel and Lillie Golden McDaniel in Buena Vista, Georgia. She worked at Bibb Mill and Evelyn's cafe before retiring. She is preceded in death by 2 children, Stanley Layfield and Clinton Layfield.

Surviving are her 3 children, Steve Layfield, Evelyn Golden (Ronald) and Diane Tarbox, 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
