Mike Doyle Obituary

Michael Anthony Doyle, known affectionately as Mike to his friends and family, passed away on June 30, 2025, in Phenix City, Alabama, at the age of 62. Born on March 14, 1963, in Brooklyn, New York, to Michael E. Doyle and Ruth (Dillon) Doyle, Mike carried the spirit of his beloved hometown throughout his life, spreading warmth and kindness wherever he went.

Mike was the cherished husband of Karen Doyle, with whom he shared 14 wonderful years. Their loving partnership was a cornerstone of a vibrant family. Mike will also be remembered by his daughters: Rachel Doyle, Samantha Aker, and stepchildren Rachael Perry, David Guadagnoli, Jean Pierre Vachon, and Alyssa Vachon. His legacy of love and laughter will live on through his 21 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, who will miss their grandfather's gentle presence and infinite generosity.

He also leaves behind four siblings: Barbara Doyle (Roger Mead), Joey Doyle (Diane), Melissa Doyle-Summers (Mike), and Shawn Doyle. His nieces and nephews—Jordan, Jimmy, Joeseph, Annabelle, Eric, Ashley, Adam, and Mercedes—will fondly remember their uncle's endless support and the joy he brought to family gatherings. Mike was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy Doyle and Eric Doyle, with whom he shared a profound and enduring bond.

For over 25 years, Mike was the proud owner of Doyle's Lawn Care, a business that flourished under his dedicated care. His expertise as a small engine repair specialist was unrivaled, and his ability to fix anything that came his way was legendary in Phenix City. Mike's reputation as a handyman extended far beyond his business; he was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in town who needed it.

Mike's life was a testament to his loving and generous nature. He was a man who not only fixed engines but also touched hearts. His role as a bone marrow donor for his brother Jimmy was a profound expression of their special bond and a reflection of Mike's selfless spirit. A tinkerer by nature, Mike found joy in the simple pleasure of working with his hands, whether it was fixing cuckoo clocks, working on a tractor, or in the helping in the homes of neighbors.

A memorial service to celebrate Mike's life will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 1 PM ET at Colonial Funeral Home. It will be an occasion for friends and family to gather and share the many stories of Mike's acts of kindness, his unwavering support, and his enduring love.

Mike Doyle's life was a beacon of love and generosity, illuminating the lives of all who knew him. His memory will be cherished, and his legacy will continue to inspire those he left behind.
