Mickey Ronald Smith, 71, of Columbus, Georgia passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 2:00 to 3:30 PM ET at Colonial Funeral Home in Phenix City, Alabama.

Mr. Smith was born June 9, 1951 to the late, Ralph and Bessie Smith in Geneva County, Alabama. He retired from SunTrust Bank as Vice President. Mr. Smith enjoyed sports, especially playing golf, softball, bowling, and basketball. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Warner and June Compton.

Surviving are his daughter, Lauren VanHouten (Michael); granddaughter, Carolyne VanHouten; brother, Robert Smith (Rhonda); many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
