Micheal Aster Davis

Micheal Aster Davis, 83, of Lafayette, Alabama passed away Friday, February 6, 2026 in Opelika, Alabama.

Born September 15, 1942 in Smiths Station, Alabama, Davis was a 1960 graduate of Central High School and served in the United States Navy before attending Auburn University where he received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. He retired from Auburn University Extension Service. A lifelong cattleman, he loved farming and treasured time with his family and friends.

A graveside service is planned for 12:30 pm EST on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Ann Davis. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Glenda Stevens Davis, daughter Andrea Davis Gunn (Chris), grandchildren William Davis Bartels and Isabelle James Bartels, a sister Ann Davis Daniel, and brother Buck Davis.
