Michael Wade Shirah, a spirited soul known for his adventurous nature and a heart full of music and artistry, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2024, in Phenix City, Alabama. Born on August 11, 1954, in Columbus, Georgia, he lived a life marked by dedication to both his family and his manifold passions.
A talented welder and fabricator by trade, Michael's craftsmanship was matched only by his proficiency as an outdoor guide, a role in which he shared the wonders of the natural world with countless individuals. He leaves behind an enduring legacy through his children, Jeremy and Leslie Shirah, Brandi Kadir, and through his beloved grandchildren, Caden Shirah, Sebastian Kadir, and Paris Shirah.
Preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. TB Shirah, and a brother, Ronald Eugene Shirah.
Also preceded in death by his beloved wife Dixie Shiver.
Michael's life was a tapestry woven with threads of creativity, as he embraced his roles as an artist and musician with fervor. Those who knew him will forever remember the indomitable spirit that propelled him through life's adventures. Michael's journey may have concluded, but the memories and inspiration he imparted will continue to resonate.
