Michael John Woodruff, 33, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023. Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 1:00 PM EST at Colonial Funeral Home in Phenix City, Alabama. 

Michael was born May 28, 1989 in Lawrence, Massachusetts. He enjoyed working as a tree cutter for Strickland Tree Service. In his spare time, he enjoyed motorcycles, dirt bikes, mud riding, fishing, and making things. More than anything, he loved and cherished his wife, Kendell and daughter, Marley. Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents, John A. and Donna D'Agata, John and Betty Woodruff; very special father-in-law, Ted Bass.

Surviving are his loving wife, Kendell Michelle Woodruff; daughter, Marley; mother, Shauna McKenna (Mark); dad, Jack Woodruff (Rachel and her daughter, Kat); father, Kevin Shimkus (Deanna); siblings, Alex Woodruff (Jasmine), Alicia Woodruff (Tyler), Brianna Shimkus, Cameron Carnes (Nathan), and Kevin Shimkus, Jr. "Bubbie"; grandmother, Leslie Mantha; aunts and uncles, John D'Agata (Melanie) and Elizabeth Woodruff (Tommy Henderson); four nieces and nephews; cousins, Joey D'Agata and Madeline D'Agata; Faith Bledsoe (Troy); special mother-in-law, Millie Bass; best friends, Reggie, Bobby, and Dillon. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Strickland Tree service and the workers: Jimmy and Belinda Strickland, Allen and Ashley Chomo, Derek and Jennifer, Matt and Matthew Logan.
