Melba Jean Franklin77, of Seale, Alabama passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019. Graveside Funeral Services will be held July 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Bellville Baptist Church. Cope-Keahey Funeral Home in Evergreen, Alabama will be handling the service.

Melba was born April 22, 1942 to Beader Lee Smith and Mamie Inez Cocker Smith in Repton, Alabama. She retired from International Paper Company. She is preceded in death by brothers, Howard, Hurley, Edward, Vernon and Lavon; sisters, Elizabeth, Jeanette, Thelma and an infant sister.

Surviving are her daughter, Denise Franklin White (Guy) of Seale, Alabama; Two sons, Kevin Lee Franklin (Stephanie) of Pensacola, Florida and Darwin Franklin (Tina) of Milton, Florida; Seven grandchildren; Three great-grandchildren; many devoted friends; numerous nieces and nephews.
