Mary J. (Walden) Morgan

Mary Jean Morgan, 84, of Columbus, Georgia passed away Monday, August 31, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.

Ms. Morgan was born August 14, 1936, in Columbus, Georgia, daughter of Lemuel Wiley Walden and Laura Leola Roland Walden. Mary was best known for her passion to dance, her adoration of animals, especially cats and birds, and, most importantly, her endless love for her grandchildren. Later known as "Top" to her granddaughter, Jessie, Ms. Morgan previously worked at Swift Textile Mills. Mary is preceded in death by her parents; her late husband, Albert Morgan; a brother, Joe Spinks; and a grandchild, Michael Spinks.

She is survived by a daughter, Anitra Harrison; siblings, Myrtee Overlander and Ralph Walden; two grandchildren, Jessie Harrison and Todd Harrison.

A wake will be held 12pm ET September 3, 2020 at family residence 3738 Sanfort Road Phenix City, AL  36869.
