Mark Tillman Cofield

Mark Tillman Cofield, 67, of Midland, GA passed away on October 02, 2023 in Columbus, Georgia.

A Graveside service will be held Friday, October 6, 2023 at 11am ET  on the grounds of Parkhill Cemetery. 

Mark was born on November 7, 1955 to C.D. Cofield and Dorothy (Strickland) Cofield in Oakland, California.

Mr. Cofield was passionate about music and obtained a music education degree from Columbus State University (then Columbus College). He was a bassist and guitarist for multiple bands in the southeast. He enjoyed reading science fiction and all things Tolkin. He attended Morningside Baptist Church, where he occasionally helped out with the band.

He is survived by one child, Dr. Rachael Cofield and one brother, Carl Cofield.
