Margie Ann (Parnell) Tomblin

Margie Ann Tomblin, 84, of Salem, Alabama, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023 at her home.

A graveside service will be held, 1:30 pm, Monday, July 17, 2023 at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:00 pm at he funeral home. Mrs, Tomblin will lie in state at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 12:00 - 8:00 pm.

Margie was born August 13, 1938 in Dooley County, Georgia to the late James Marvin Parnell and Thelma Alene Tallant Parnell. She retired with 32 years service from Fieldcrest Mills, and will be remembered as a caring person always helping others in the community such as donating blankets to nursing homes.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Jerry Tomblin, Sr.

She is survived by her children; Janice Marie Bland (Gomer), Diana Wade (Jimmy), William J. Tomblin, Jr. (Cathy), and Bobby Glenn Tomblin (Jenifer); 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
