Lyda Fisher Komsa, a cherished member of the Hurtsboro community, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on April 19, 1947, in the quaint town of Marydale, Kentucky.
Lyda's early years in Marydale were filled with the simple pleasures of rural life, where she developed a lifelong love for dogs and the beauty of nature's blooms. Her passion for collecting dolls began as a young girl and continued throughout her life, each one telling a story and holding a special place in her heart.
After moving to Hurtsboro, Alabama, Lyda became a devoted member of the local church, where she found a spiritual home and a community that embraced her warm spirit. Her unwavering faith was a source of strength and inspiration, and she was always ready to lend a hand or a listening ear to anyone in need.
Lyda's life was rich with the love of her family. She is survived by her two sons, Nicholas and Jason Komsa of Youngstown, Ohio, Her sister, Eva Pearl (Fisher) Loer, Lyda's nieces & nephews, Katherine Ann Fisher, Melissa Black, Daniel Ruth (Fisher) Black, and Amy Lora Fisher.
Lyda was preceded in death by her parents, James Newton Fisher and Lora Nell (Jones) Fisher, and her brothers, Dewey Gene Fisher, Jennings Ray Fisher, and James Lohren Fisher.
Throughout her life, Lyda's gentle presence was a source of comfort and happiness to those around her. Her ability to find joy in the simplest of things—a blooming flower, a playful pup, or the smile of a child—reminded everyone to appreciate the beauty in the world.
As we bid farewell to Lyda Fisher Komsa, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by love, generosity, and a spirit that will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
