Louis Edgar Chapman, Jr., 77, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Chapman was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to the late Louis Edgar Chapman and Georgia Louise Averette Chapman, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict, retired from Albemarble Corporation as a research chemist, and loved music, having been a studio musician playing saxophone in his younger years playing with artists such as, Elton John, Donna Summers, Ray Charles, Paul McCartney, Chicago, and many others.

Surviving are his wife, Brenda Gauthreaux, son, Sean Chapman and wife, Kendall, daughter, Laurie Chapman Babin and husband, Kermit, two granddaughters, Cassidy Babin and Hannah Babin.
