Kevin Abbott

Kevin Abbott, a cherished father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away on July 28, 2025, at the age of 48. Born on March 5, 1977, in Phenix City, Alabama, Kevin's life was a testament to the love and joy he brought to those around him.
 
He carried his love for nature throughout his life, often found hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying time outside with his family and children. His passion for the Lord was evident in the way he treated others with kindness and generosity.

He is survived by his adoring family: his three children, Chase, Zeya, and Gracie; his three grandchildren, Robin, Jace, and Dawn,  who brought immense joy to his life; his loving parents, Margaret Marie Carpenter, Mark Carpenter, and Edwin Abbott; his devoted siblings, Crystal Floyd and Anthony Carpenter; and his dear girlfriend, Angie Fogle, and her daughter, Billie Jean Fogle. Kevin's life was enriched by the steadfast companionship of his best friends Rodney Berry, Autumn Kelley, Dustin Man and TJ Satterwhite, as well as the mother of his son, Lori Paulk-Abbott.

An avid cyclist, Kevin found solace and excitement in riding his bicycle through the scenic routes around his hometown. These moments of solitude on the road mirrored the way he approached life: with determination, grace, and a sense of freedom.

As we say farewell to Kevin, we celebrate the legacy he leaves behind—a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished memories. His spirit will continue to live on through his children, grandchildren, friends and the countless lives he touched.

A Memorial Service for Kevin will be held Monday, August 4 at 3PM EST at Colonial Funeral Home.
