Ken McClung Obituary

Ken Allan McClung, born on November 27, 1947, in San Diego, California, passed away on May 16, 2026, in Opelika, Alabama, leaving behind a life marked by devotion to family, steady work, and a genuine appreciation for the simple joys that made each day meaningful.

He is survived by his three children, Heather Brabston (Josh),  Clyde McClung, and Sean McClung. He also leaves behind three beloved grandchildren, Emily Fultz (Chandler), Sara Hodge (John McCamy), and Aydin McClung, as well as one brother, Nick McClung.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde W. McClung and Inez Stallings McClung, and by his sister, Lucy Camp.

Ken spent his life working with dedication and integrity. He was a former employee of W.C. Bradley and Diversified Products, and he later retired from Douglas and Lomason, where he served as a manager. Throughout his career, he was known as a dependable and hardworking man who took pride in doing his job well.

Outside of work, Ken found joy in the things that made life rich and personal. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and bird watching. He especially treasured time spent with his grandchildren. He was an enthusiastic college football fan and followed SEC teams with great interest. He also enjoyed Star Trek and science fiction, interests that reflected his curiosity and imagination. More than anything, he loved his family deeply, and that love was evident in the way he lived and in the time he shared with those closest to him.

Ken Allan McClung will be remembered with love, respect, and affection by those whose lives he touched.
