Julia "Diane" Wyrosdick, known affectionately as Diane to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2024, in Birmingham, Alabama. Born on October 1, 1948, in Pensacola, Florida, Diane's life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and creativity that touched everyone she knew.
Diane's early years in Pensacola were filled with the warmth of the Florida sun and the loving guidance of her parents, the late Mason Agerton and Gladys Hawthorne. Her journey led her to the heart of Pittsview, AL, where she would eventually build a life and a home with her beloved husband, the late John Wyrosdick. Together, they crafted not just a house, but a haven of memories and a legacy of love that would endure for generations.
A talented seamstress by trade, Diane's skilled hands and keen eye for detail were evident in every stitch she made. Her work was not just a means of livelihood but a form of expression that brought beauty into the everyday. Diane's zest for life was matched by her love for the outdoors. She found joy in fishing, where the patience and stillness of the activity provided a counterbalance to her otherwise bustling life. Her interests were a reflection of her spirit—grounded, yet ever seeking the simple pleasures that life had to offer.
She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: children, Deanna Jaramillo-Castillo, David (Ann) Wyrosdick, Lisa (Patty) Bruce, Van Nolen, Johnny Nolen, and Theresa (Steve) Floyd; along with a legacy of 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren who will continue to grow and thrive, embodying the values she instilled in them.
