Johnny Dale Yazzie, 62, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Piedmont Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 1:00 PM ET at New Beginnings Fellowship Church with Rev. Brad McDaniel officiating.
Mr. Yazzie was born April 23, 1958 to Tom Sulu and Eunice Pavatea Sulu in Keams Canyon, Arizona. He was a member and served as a deacon at New Beginnings Church. Mr. Yazzie enjoyed fishing, archery, bow hunting, as well as arts and crafts. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Harding Sulu.
Surviving are his wife, Sheila Yazzie; two daughters, Roxanne Yazzie and Christine Mobley; brother, Lemuel Sulu; four sisters, Aldora Scott, Dorothy Sulu, Mianna Tyler and Eva Gibbons; granddaughter, Kayla Loyd; and grandson, Tre Mobley.
