John Joseph was born on September 7, 1978 to Ronald Gene Gordon and Barbara (Anthony) Gordon in Columbus, Georgia.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Gene Gordon.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara (Anthony) Gordon; two brothers, Orie L. Simmons Jr. and Lonnie Gordon; uncle Mark Anthony as well as Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
