JoAnne (Jones) Goss

JoAnne Goss, 80, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021 in Columbus, Georgia. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 10:00 AM ET at Colonial Funeral Home in Phenix City, Alabama with Dr. Jimmy Elder officiating. Interment will take place at Turkey Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Goss was born on August 7, 1940 to Herbert Jones and Zera Ozelle (Walker) Jones in Lagrange, Georgia.  She graduated from Harris County High School, where she was prom queen and married Billy Goss on October 4, 1954, in Hamilton, Georgia. Mrs. Goss was a past Worthy Matron of the William D. Order of Eastern Star and worked at little Swift Mill as a spinner for 14 years. She loved her family and enjoyed taking care of her children, grandchildren, and her home. Mrs. Goss is preceded in death by her parents. 

She is survived by four children, Gerald Goss (Patricia), Dewayne Goss, Randall Goss, and Melinda Lockler; five grandchildren, Bridgette Dianne Goss, Trevor Lee Goss, Brianna Lockler, Austin Alexus Lauer, and Dallas Lauer; two great-grandchildren, Abbie Grace Goss and Ava Goss; five siblings, Maude, Cindy, Walker, Walter, and Trudy; numerous nieces and nephews.
