Jettie "Ruth" Free Holman Pybus, 81, of Salem, AL passed away on May 22, 2022 at her home. Viewing will be held on Thursday, May 26th, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM ET at Colonial Funeral Home. The family will gather at the home of Mrs. Pybus after the viewing.

Mrs. Pybus was born on April 13, 1941 to Enoch Free and Icie Ledbetter in Tallassee, Alabama. She retired after almost 30 years of service working at mill, she was a strong woman, who always had a clean home and enjoyed cooking for her family. She loved the lord, her children and grandchildren with all her heart. In her free time she enjoyed watching her wrestling and soap operas and socializing on Facebook.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Pybus; seven children, Linda Newsome, Ronnie Holman (Tammy), Ricky Holman, Vickey Stafford, Carlton Holman, Sherrie Holman, and Jason Kreisler (Kim); sixteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Inez McCain; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by one son, Michael Holman; two grandchildren, Justin Stafford and Tara George; and three brothers, John Free, Conard Free, and Grover Free.
