Jay Pierce

Jay Pierce, 64 of Pittsview, Alabama passed away Friday, August 12, 2022 at Piedmont Hospital, Columbus, Georgia.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 at 2:00pm ET at Colonial Funeral Home.

Mr. Pierce was born November 20, 1957, son of the late Johnnie Edward Pierce and Essie Levada Pierce in Richmond, Virginia. 

During his career Mr. Pierce worked in steel hanging, was a cook at smokey pig barbeque at Linwood Blvd location and was also an exceptional painter. He was a self less person and was always caring for his family. 

Jay is survived by a son, David Pierce ( Julia);  daughter, Summer Higginbotham; grandchildren,
Caleb Weeks, Jonah Higginbotham, Noah Pierce, Preston Pierce, Jasper Pierce, Judah Pierce and Hosea Pierce; three  brothers, Jeff Pierce (June),  Joey Pierce (Debbie), Jimmy Pierce; two sisters, Judy Chastain ( Benny), Janice Peterson ( Roy).

He is preceded in death by  his parents and two brother Jerry Pierce and Johnnie Pierce Jr.
