Janet Louise Howard

Janet Howard, a cherished soul known for her thoughtfulness and radiant spirit, passed away on September 12, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on September 30, 1955, in Ft. Benning, Georgia, Janet's early years were filled with the love and guidance of her parents, Jack and Thelma Jean Bowman Giles. Her presence was a beacon of joy in the lives of her family and friends, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.

Janet was the beloved sister to Shirley Mclemore, Legary Summers, and Rupert Summers (Jane), sharing with them countless cherished memories that will be treasured forever. Her spirit will also be lovingly remembered by her devoted boyfriend, David Fisher. Although Janet is now reunited with her late parents and her sister Hellen Fuller, she leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will continue to resonate through her numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and all those whose lives she touched.

Her love for her dog Charlie Brown was unparalleled, and their companionship brought her immeasurable joy. Janet's zest for life was apparent in her hobbies; she was an avid fan of soap operas, which provided her with daily doses of drama and excitement. Her passion for football and racing, particularly her beloved Bulldog team, was infectious, and she shared this enthusiasm with family and friends, creating a community of fellow fans.

Janet's conversations on the phone with loved ones were legendary, as she always made time to catch up, share stories, and offer support. Her knack for finding the perfect item on QVC was unmatched, and she delighted in the simple pleasure of shopping. Janet's thoughtfulness extended to every aspect of her life, making her a cherished presence in the hearts of those around her.

As Janet's chapter on earth concludes, we are reminded of the impact one life can have on so many. Her legacy of kindness, warmth, and generosity will continue to inspire and guide us. We bid farewell to Janet Howard, a remarkable woman whose memory will be held in our hearts forever.
