James L. Wood, affectionately known as Larry to his friends and family, was a man of vibrant spirit and joyful presence. He was born on February 23, 1945, in Troy and passed away on October 23, 2024, in Columbus, Georgia. James leaves behind a legacy of love and memories with his beloved wife, Reba Wood, and a close-knit family who cherished every moment with him.
Larry was best recognized for his time on the road as a dedicated truck driver, a profession that he excelled in with great passion and pride. Beyond his work, he harbored a deep love for stock car racing, a hobby that brought excitement and joy into his life. Above all, the time he spent with his wife and family was what he treasured the most, embracing every opportunity to create lasting memories with them.
A man of integrity and warmth, Larry's infectious laughter and kind-hearted nature will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. His passing has left an indelible mark on the hearts of his loved ones, who will continue to honor his memory through the lessons of love and joy he imparted.
