His talents and steady hand then led him to a successful period as a painter, a trade where he took great pride in the precision and beauty of his work. Later, Larry found his calling in maintenance at the Columbus airport, a role he cherished until his retirement.
Beyond his professional life, Larry's heart was truly at home with his family. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Leslie Strickland, and his son, Darrell Brown. His love for his family shone brightest when he was with his granddaughter, Haley Kirkman, whose achievements and milestones were a constant source of pride. Larry's sister, Gloria Thomas (Paul), will miss his companionship and unwavering support, as will the memory of his late brother, Milford Pittman, and his late parents, James Marvin Brown and Mary Brown, who predeceased him.
