Billy was born on May 29, 1956 to James "Bill" O. Nason Sr. and Alice L. Nason in Columbus, Georgia. He was a hard worker, working his way up from bagging groceries as a teenager to becoming store manager. He would go on to manage a variety of locations throughout his career and was often recognized for his neatly organized stores. Billy enjoyed being around water, whether it be on his boat at the river, teaching people to water ski, or around his pool barbequing. It's been said no one cooked a Boston Butt as good as Billy. He enjoyed spending time with family and with his close friends who were like family to him. He was a die-hard Alabama Fan and was known for his ballgame parties. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and had recently been attending Smiths Station Baptist as it was close to home.
He is survived by two daughters, Kerri Mann (Doug) and Jennifer Nason along with their mother Patti; three grandchildren, Brodie Mann, Blayd Mann, and Peyton Paul; his mother, Alice L. Nason; three siblings, Karon Rogers (Ray), Daron Nason, and Debra Nason; and his nephews Richard Nason (Keri) and Nicholos Nason, niece Anna Page, and numerous cousins, extended family and dear friends.
