James Walls Obituary

James Robert Walls, 77, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020at Piedmont Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia.

Mr. Walls was born October 2, 1942 in Columbus, Georgia to the late William David Walls and the late Crystal Freeman Walls, a 1960 graduate of Central High School and served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam era. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad, member of Trinity Methodist Church, enjoyed yardwork, outdoors, loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Robert Walls, and a sister, Ramona Pearce.

Surviving are his wife, Carol Norwood Walls, 3 children, Vickie Robinson, James R. Wall, Jr., and Jason Norwood Walls, 2 grandchildren, Madison Leigh Walls, Kendall Joiner, a great granddaughter, MaKenna Ortiz, 4 sisters, Ann S. Dobbs, Carol Hall, Willene Pyle, and Shirley Hatcher, and a brother, Bill Walls.
